CITIZEN*… Its just about that time

So here it is everyone! Welcome to ThisIsCitizen.com, the home of the new kick ass band from Northern VA known as CITIZEN*. A lot of people have been asking what we’ve been up to and let me be the first to say we are extremely pumped about the future. We’ve been in the basement for the past few months working and writing non-stop. We’ve been getting to know our styles and figuring out our new sound and have been having a blast doing it. It’s been really inspirational being down there and working with these guys and building on something I think is going to take us a long way. I feel like the Stillwater guys from Almost Famous…”Rock and Roll can save the world!” I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we are itching to get out there and show you all our new stuff, which should be up very soon on this site (as well as myspace and whatnot).

If you’ve read any of the news posts, you may have noticed that we plan on hitting up the studio later this month. We are ridiculously excited to be heading in there with the powerhouse lineup of producer Jim Ebert and engineer Scott Spelbring. These guys are masters at what they do, and we can’t wait to see what they do with us! That means we should be out playing shows for you all in no time, so make sure you keep checking back to see our upcoming show dates!

I’m the first one here that gets to post a blog on our brand new site! I designed and built this site over the past few days. It’s not completely finished yet, as we’ll be setting up a merch shop in the future, as well as a nice little media section where you can check out some videos and songs and everything.
