Chaos! (and not the boring math kind, either)

I know it’s been awhile since I rapped at ya (for ref, please see Jim Anchower’s column @ The Onion), but a lot has been going on! First-of-all, we played our debut show at Auld Shebeen last wk. It was awesome. Big thank yous are in order to everyone who came out, and to all those who couldn’t make it, but wished us good luck. Idea Track was great (as was Twenty Somthin), and we can’t wait to play w/ those guys again in November.

So the big deal is that we’re playing a benefit for CrisisLink (http://www.crisislink.org/) with our friends RIAD and Lloyd Dobbler Effect next Weds, 09/09/09. As with 01/01/01 and 08/08/08, I’m sure there has been specualtion about widespread chaos on this particular date, but I’m almost sure of it this time because we might…MIGHT just have copies of new EP in time for this show. I’m beginning to have grave, Nostradamus-style (the “prophet,” not Nasir Jones) misgivings about the disorder that will ensue if and when we release unleash this EP on this auspicious date. I’m sure Twitter will go down MJ’s death-style. The Soviet Union will likely reform in a vain attempt to counter our campaign of world-dominance, but we’ll be all like “Mr. Putin, tear down this wall.” And he’ll be like “yes, sirs.” And we’ll be like “That’s right. Now make us some sandwiches.”

So, to summarize: Thanks for your support. Make sure you come out to C-Grill on 09/09. Be alert for worldwide total bedlam. Citizen* defeats communism.
